Our full suite of project controls and planning services are designed to be tailored; systems-based; technology driven; purposefully integrating the scope, time and resource allocation mandate. Our packaged offerings are designed to best navigate the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) in a post-COVID19 world with shifting geopolitics influencing diplomacy, financing and markets. Our controls and planning experts lead capital and mega-projects cognisant of the business environment bearing in mind future political, economic and social scenarios which could impact on optimal executed delivery. We form part of the owner’s team or serve as (sub)contractors, with either option co-producing knowledge (with intellectual property owned by the client), jointly ensuring best practice design and delivery whilst capacity building within our client’s teams through multiple avenues such as formal subject matter training; Training the Trainers per subject matter course; on-the-job training; updating, improving and mainstreaming standard operating procedures and internal communication thereof and installing new technologies coupled with ensuring client’s ability to effectively use post our contractual obligations. We also offer the option of onboarding to establish and maintain on a longer-term basis our client’s controls and planning division managerially from respective head offices and on site; a service we currently supply to several multinational companies.

Our specific services within this hub of excellence include but are not limited to:

• Commence internal and external stakeholder engagement to produce a project controls and planning strategy that sets forth the schedule, allocated resources including budget, outlines and allocates tasks with key performance indicators and includes projected risk mitigation aligned to the SMART principles we apply throughout our work – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound.
• Integrated Planning Sessions, which our MD is a foremost specialist in having introduced this critical planning tool to top tier mining houses.
• Undertake baseline studies including pre-feasibility through stage gate to develop for client approval empirical options to base their execution decisions on scope and resource allocation.
• Aligned implementation of Front End Loading that includes pre-project planning; feasibility analysis; conceptual planning and schematic design for critical decision-making at the start of the project.
• Design project controls including schedules within allocated scope, time and budget; all aligned to business strategy and the project’s purpose.
• Determine the level of efficiency of the technical processes including technological applications and software used, to make recommendations on how best to implement the agreed scope of work both current and towards the future of the relevant division’s operations.
• Introduce existing controls and planning software better suited to baselined needs; customise these software programmes and / or develop new AI-based technologies together with our strategic partners such as Nodes and Links.
  Automate functions as identified across platforms and disciplines for improved efficiency to consciously be aware of scope, cost and time status as work is being undertaken for flexible actions to remain on target and as part of the set of risk management tools.
• Develop standard operating procedure manuals and where identified, incorporate into business policies and practices for cohesive application of benchmarked standard project controls and planning within the entire project management functionality and lifecycle.
• Produce relevant training curriculum content and roll-out training.
  Maintenance and management of controls and / or planning functions for specific projects or across business portfolio, both on and off site.
• Provide and manage the work of expert project management, controls and planning professionals at required levels either directly or indirectly should client prefer to hire with us managing the day-to-day functioning be it at corporate head / satellite offices or on-site worldwide.
• When we directly deploy our staff, we automatically facilitate all the functions relating to human resources, legal compliance, information technology, deployment including those specific to abroad posting. We further provide necessary equipment including software licenses and professional fees. This service is extended upon request to client appointed professionals who we will manage as an integrated team with due regard to the client’s relevant policies and procedures over and above our own.
• Coordinate for mutually beneficial purposeful outcomes, internal and external stakeholder communication and best practice governance inclusion and relations.
