De Beers Venetia Open to Underground Mining Transition in South Africa

Led planning processes as part of the owner’s team to covert the De Beers diamond Venetia Mine in Limpopo, South Africa from an open pit to underground operations. Opened in 1992 and producing 40% of South Africa’s diamond production the transition at an estimated cost of US$ 2 billion extended output lifespan to from the status of 2021 to 2043.
